The Roadmap Towards Net-Zero: from Glasgow to Sharm el-Sheikh
Last year’s COP26 in Glasgow demonstrated the leadership role of non-state actors in the climate change arena. However, this year’s climate negotiations in Egypt will show if countries delivered on the Glasgow Climate Pact and if those commitments were turned into action. With COP27 fast approaching, so is World Climate Summit – The Investment COP 2022.
World Climate Summit – The Investment COP returns alongside COP27 on 13-14 November in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The Summit aims at delivering environmental, economic, and societal impact by implementing a new global, green economy, facilitating sector transitions to net-zero and accelerating individual commitments and action plans from leading organisations and businesses.
COP27 will be a crucial moment to build on the outcomes of COP26 with a strong focus on implementation of previous pledges and commitments. This year, World Climate Summit will focus on accelerating climate finance while exhibiting best practices and cutting-edge climate solutions through unparalleled public and private collaboration.
The World Climate Foundation is a proud member of the Marrakech Partnership, engaging with Race to Zero, Race to Resilience and Glasgow Finance Alliance for Net Zero campaigns throughout the year and alongside the COP negotiations.
